Not to make excuses or anything, but it's hard to be a good blogger when you work as much as I do! I'm even working right now, from home, but taking quick minute to post some pictures.
I finally got to go to Aquarium of the Pacific! It made me sad that I don't have a scuba diving trip planned, but was still incredible. Here's some pictures:
Clownfish! I want to take Erica and AJ there, to see if he calls them Nemo!

We got there just in time to see the divers doing a feeding, and a guided tour of the tank! Too cool. I think Matt has a new dream job.

They had a whole history of the family of seals that are at the aquarium, that was pretty neat. They were so playful! There were some kids playing with them through the glass.

Seadragons! Can't wait to see some of these while diving, they are so gorgeous.

Birds? I dunno, they made Matt happy, so whatever.

I couldn't get a good shot of the sea otters, which are my absolute favorite. They were playing and moving to fast for the iphone to catch them! (I forgot my actual camera, argh. But as you can tell, the iphone doesn't do half bad, even through glass.) But I got a stuffed one for a Christmas ornament :)
Only one week of my internship left. I was scheduled to work in Long Beach on Epson, but I got called back to San Diego to work on the IPO that I was on last month. It is VERY flattering to be specifically requested by a soon-to-be-partner to work on a job. We'll see if that shines through to an offer next week. I have loved the work I have done here, and truly hope I get an offer. I will of course still take time to weigh a decision, as I also loved what I did in Fort Worth, but like a friend pointed out to me once, I always love my jobs! Or I don't stay there. (Super 1? Sonic? Done in less than a month!) Big decisions ahead...

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's day! I spent mine working, and I'm heading back to the office today.
The company I'm working is doing its IPO...and amazing learning experience but super stressful and involved, and lots of long hours!
(Doesn't hurt that I'm earning double time at this point in the week!)
Have a great Sunday, kiddos, think of me while you're basking in post-Valentine's ardor.
Oh, and check out what my Valentine did for me :) They were waiting in my hotel room when I got off of work on Friday:

Such a honey, he is <3
Sorry for the blurry, it was taken with my iPhone.

Hokay, so, I've been in LA(ish*) for almost a month now, let's see if I can catch you up on my adventures. Since I'll be putting in quite a few pictures, I'll do it a little at a time.
First, a lovely day was spent at Venice Beach.
Some funny and amazing street performers called the Calypso Tumblers were there. I was very impressed...until I saw a different group doing pretty much the same thing in Santa Monica last weekend. Oh well, it was still cool, and I got some good pictures.

It's kind of hard to see what's happening in this one, but look at the shadows, it helps!
And, what trip to Venice would be complete without a glistening muscle man?

It felt very fitting to start my jaunt to Cali at the beach. I love the water, and Venice was a blast!
(*ish): PwC has sent me off to San Diego to work on a client here. It's my second week of four.

I'm awake way too early on the first day of my internship. I don't have to be there for 3 or 4 hours! But I had to get up, I was having stress dreams and my stomach is all tied up in knots. So I thought I would just post a quick update and let everyone know that I made it to LA safely, and my training starts in 4 hours! I've been having a blast the last 2 weeks on my little vacation, and I promise to post lots of pics soon.
Wish me luck!

My mom took this cake decorating class recently and she has just been going nuts with cakes and things. I'm jealous, because it's something I've always wanted to do. But aside from that...she's using box cake mixes. Like it's really not all that important for her cakes to be delicious, just for them to look awesome.
I think I'd rather have an amazingly delicious, moist, original cake than have it look cool.
Also, if you'd like to read an incredibly romantic proposal story, go here: http://ashleyinfrance.wordpress.com/200 8/12/17/y-e-s/ My boss's daughter just got engaged. She's an awesome girl who I am glad to be able to call my friend, and deserved this completely romantic moment! Congratulations, Ashley and Kasey!

Grades came out today. Not pleasant. I'm so tired of school and feeling like I'm not smart. I know I'm better than the grades I got. Hopefully now that Beta is over and done with, I can get the grades I know I'm capable of.
In other happy news...I leave for Cali in a week! So excited. I'm going to go shopping today to get some more work clothes and a last few Christmas presents. After I go kick my ass at the gym, of course :)

Being in the Beta Alpha Psi office feels really strange. Tomorrow, I won't be president anymore. This thing that I feel has ruled my life for the last year will be over. I feel relieved but at the same time kind of empty. My friend Ashley just said, "You'll be able to RELAX." That will be nice but I can't even picture it right now.
I'm trying to write everything down for Drew, to-do lists and whatnot. It's hard though, I knew all of it in my head so I never wrote it down...I'm afraid I'll miss something. I guess it's not really my problem anymore though, after tomorrow.
I know being president was really good for me. I could go on about my improved leadership skills and blahblah but alongside that I feel like it completely sucked away a lot of my social life. It will be really nice to be able to focus on school, and what I want to do, instead of what HAS to be done for Beta. It was a really demanding, practically full-time job.
Do I sound bittersweet? That's how I feel.

That was, without a doubt, the most civil break up I've ever gone through. No crying, name-calling, finger-pointing...just, "This isn't working for either of us, we should end it." It's interesting to note that the youngest guy I've ever dated resulted in the most mature break-up.
I started all of my hiring paperwork for my PwC internship...exciting! It's nice to have sometihng positive today. I feel bad filling out paperwork for my next job at my current job, but I don't have anything to do (hence the LJ post, ha) so I might as well get it done.

Another failed relationship.
Will this always feel like I've just failed at life? Even when it was my idea in the first place?

Red Starbucks cups full of eggnog latte make me happy :)
I'm procrastinating studying for the test I have this evening by rambling about my latte. Sounds about normal! Back to the books, wish me luck. Graduate school sucks.

I feel so incredibly proud to be an American today.
What an amazing moment!
In Sunday's Star Telegram, there was an article that "summed up" the campaigns of Obama and McCain. The part I love the most was when it said that Obama's greatest strength was his ability inspire the cynical masses and bring our country together.
I am inspired. Yes we can!
Now I just need to find a transcript of tonight's speech. The celebration was too loud in my apartment, I missed about half of it!
